We explore the magical country of Morocco and unfold its mystery with travelling across the country from cities like Casablanca, Fes , the blue city of Chefchaouen and across to the stunning Sahara desert. We discover the hidden treasures of the chaotic markets to the stunning landscapes that the country has to offer. Discovering bazaars, mosques , meeting the Berber families living in the high Atlas Mountains and diving in to their life and culture only to end up in the ever so famous Marrakech visiting spice markets, while we see snake charmers acrobats and story tellers and indulging in traditional Moroccan rituals to wind up our trip.
Our tour will capture elements of “people and place“. Shifting sand dunes to daily scenes of village life and the colourful fest of the markets will be the highlight. Landscape and portrait photography at its perfect balance with a cultural experience to take back memories.
Day 1 : Reception at Casablanca aiport transfer to the hotel
Arrive at Casablanca International airport. To start your tour in Casablanca, we’ll visit Hassan II Mosque, the biggest mosque outside Mecca and the Cornich coast.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : Casablanca – Chefchaouen
After your breakfast in your hotel then we start travelling to Chefchaouan via ouazen after couple of hours drive arriving in ouazan – where we will stop for lunch – .After that you will continue your journey over the foothills of the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. Arriving at Chefchaouen in the afternoon to check in to your riad.
Day 3 : Chefchaouen – Fes
This morning after breakfast, you will travel to the nearby city Meknes; the third Imperial city of Morocco with its famous door. Meknes is known as “The Versailles of Morocco. You will explore Bab El Khamis and Bab El Mansour, one of the most beautiful gateways. Continue your sightseeing tour by visiting the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later on, you will head to the village of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun which is a place of pilgrimage for Moroccans. You will have time for lunch. Afterward you will explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. We will continue our drive toward Fes
Day 4 : Fes – Merzouga
After breakfast we will leave Fes toward Merouga passing by Ifran that is known as the Switzerland of Morocco, then Azrou which is known with its green tiled roofs and beautiful cedar forests that are the residence for monkeys.
Next we take you to Midelt where you can enjoy your lunch. Continuing the road through the Middle Atlas Mountains and observe the nomads that live there. Also you will be mesmerised with the views of volcanic rock and near by Errachidia you will notice the high cliffs and Ziz Valley that is surrounded with palm trees.
In the next station Erfoud you will have the opportunity to visit a marble industry that is full of a variety of decorations. After that we will head to the final station of the day Merzouga.dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : Merzouga
After breakfast in the Hotel you can start exploring the area. You’ll visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle, whilst not far away there’s the lake of Merzouga with its bird populations. You may also want to visit the nomad wire house where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities. In the afternoon it’s time for your camel trek, guided by an experienced camel man as you set off to explore within the sand sea of Merzouga. Dinner is in front of the tent where you will spend the night (the camp in equipped with flash-toilets and shower).
Day 6 : Merzouga
After your late breakfast we will drive inside the desert with different stops to take nice and unique pictures with your camera, and see some nomade family in their house where we will have chance to talk and take good pictures of them. Overnight at the camp.
Day 7 : Merzouga – Tinghir – Dades Gorge
After breakfast at the camp, you’ll leave for the Dades Valley, visiting Todra Gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch within the valley, you will have an optional hour’s hike through the fields where you will enjoy visiting an old mud village, meet locals and learn about the culture. On through Dades Valley, where you will have the opportunity to see majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in your hotel overlooking the Dades valley.
Day 8 : Dades Gorge – Boutghrar – High Atlas Mountain – Imlil
After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. Today you will have the opportunity to meet Berber Nomads in their caves followed by Lunch, we will travel to Imlil via the dramatic Tizi Ntichka Pass. Dinner & overnight at Imlil.
Day 9 : High Atlas Mountain – Imlil
After breakfast we will visit the villages in the heart of the High Atlast Mountain.
Day 10 : Imlil – Marrakech
After Breakfast at the Kasbah, you will start travelling to Marrakech via the Berber village of Tahnaout and the fascinating gorge of Moulay Brahim. After several stops to take photographs, you’ll continue your journey to Marrakech and once here visit the Majorelle gardens before checking in to your Riad. After dinner you will enjoy walking within the famous square of Jemaa El fna, entertained with magicians, story tellers, musicians and snake charmers. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad. Bed and Breakfast. BB.
Day 11 : Marrakech – Casablanca airport
After your breakfast in your Riad we will drive you to Casablanca airport for your departure flight.
