Unspoilt, Unexplored, Unbelievable is what first comes to mind when we think of Faroe Islands. Faroe Islands or Land of Sheep consist of a total of 779 islands, islets & skerries with 18 being major islands. With a total population of around 50000, not yet popular with tourists, it’s a photographers’ paradise.
Its windswept mountains, crashing waves, and jagged coastlines make it a unique landscape to explore and shoot. If you are a hiker, then it’s a must visit place for you.
Come join us to explore the unparalleled, unexplored and totally virgin beauty called Faroe. We guarantee you will come back with images worth dying for.
STRUCTURE:
Pre Tour Analysis:
Each registered participant will be requested to submit their landscape / portrait related images. Our panel will analyse each image to see how to guide each individual during the tour to help them enhance their skills. We will also provide individual feedback to their each submitted image and suggest improvement points.
During the Tour:
Based on the analytical data available with us post “Pre Tour Analysis” we will provide individualized attention to all and ensure they work on their weaknesses and enhance their skills. Evening Gup Shup sessions will be learning oriented and practical tips will be provided based on the mistakes committed by participants during the day.
We shall also have atleast one evening session dedicated to post processing workflow to help them become a complete photographer.
After the tour:
Each participant will be required to submit 3 of his or her best images from the tour. Each image will be analysed and constructive feedback will be provided. Best of the lot will make it to our website and blog; and will be aggressively promoted on FB.
DAY 01 (Sept 11) Arrive at Vagar
Proceed with Immigration/Baggage Claim procedures. Private transfer directly from airport to hotel. Check into the hotel and get out to explore the city if time permits.
Day 02 (Sept 12) Gasadalur
Gásadalur is a village located on the west side of Vágar, Faroe Islands, and enjoys a panoramic view over to the island of Mykines. The tiny village of Gásadalur in the Faroe Islands sits at the edge of a tall cliff overlooking the sea. It has immense potential with varied photography ops.
DAY 03 (Sept 13) Saksun
We will spend the day driving to Saksun and creating stunning landscapes on the way. Saksun is one of the most beautiful places in the Faroe Islands. The place is simply wonderful, with a beautiful lagoon surrounded by sand in the fjord. The tall mountains give the area an air of mystery, but not least unimaginable beauty.
DAY 04 (Sept 14) Gjov
Check out after breakfast and head to Gjogv. Its literal meaning is Gorge. It’s a small scenic town with scenery that will take your breath away and you will find it hard to put down your camera. Gjógv is a village located on the northeast tip of the island of Eysturoy, in the Faroe Islands and 63 km north by road from the capital of Tórshavn. The village was named after a 200-metre long sea-filled gorge that runs north to the sea from the village
DAY 05 (Sept 15) Sorvagsvatn
Check out after breakfast and head to explore Sorvagsvatn Lake. Sørvágsvatn or Leitisvatn is the largest lake in the Faroe Islands. It is situated on the island of Vágar between the municipalities of Sørvágur and Vágar. Its area is 3.4 km².
DAY 06 (Sept 16) Check out and transfer to Airport
Those who have signed up only for Faroe, catch their flights home with fond memories of Faroe Islands and those who have also signed up for Iceland, travel with the mentors to explore Iceland.
